This is a known weak link when changing SSD, especially the mid-2012. Upgrade the SSD- Apple decided to use a proprietary connector for the SSD. Maybe the retina shipped with a SSD and is pcie/nvme and therefore there is no SATA cable here. The first question I have is- did you change the SATA cable at the same time? I investigated and some people suggest to changing the hard drive cable. I live in a hot city (Antalya - sometimes up to 40 Celcius.) Hot weather also effects but there is something wrong with my mac.
It initialize very fast but when I open an app, I see spinning ball all the time in any app.Īnd it gets hot all the time. I upgraded ssd of my mac and I don't know why it works too slow now.
